Mary L. Gimenez-Caulder, President of Gimenez Caulder & Associates, has 25 years of experience in organizing and leading nonprofit organizations and has raised millions of dollars for nonprofits through Major Gifts, Grant Writing, Planned Giving, Capital and Annual Giving campaigns.
Ms. Gimenez Caulder's previous professional experience includes 16 years with San Pedro Peninsula Hospital with six years as their Foundation President. She also was the Executive Director/CEO of Harbor Interfaith Services for 11 years where she administered contracts with the City of Los Angeles, Housing Authority (HACLA), Housing Department for the City of Los Angeles, and Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA), as well as the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA). State contracts included Emergency Food & Shelter program (EHAP) and First Five. Federal contracts included Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), United States Department of Agriculture, Department of Labor and others. She also interacted with the U.S. Navy (at the Pentagon in Washington D.C.) and Congresswoman Jane Harman's office that successfully resulted in securing funding to purchase property under the McKinney Act.
Ms. Gimenez Caulder's expertise and leadership has been recognized by the California Association of Nonprofits, which honored her with the 2002 Excellence in Leadership Award. Her commitment and dedication have been widely recognized by her colleagues receiving national awards for campaigns in Capital Development, Planning Giving, and for vision in creating a successful citywide mobile health service for low-income families.
